These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of German Removals 's Website, located at https://germanremovals.com.au.

By accessing this website, we assume you accept these terms and conditions. Do not continue to use German Removals if you do not agree to take all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.

1. Rates & Minimum Charge

  • Standard rate: $55 per half hour (2 movers + 4.5T truck).

  • Weekend rate: $65 per half hour (Saturday & Sunday).

  • Minimum booking time: 2 hours.

  • Charged in 30-minute increments after the first 2 hours.

  • Rates include labour, truck, fuel, and protective equipment.

  • Travel time may apply (usually up to 30 minutes each way).

2. Quotes & Payment

  • All quotes are estimates only, based on the information provided.

  • Final cost is based on the actual time taken to complete the move.

  • Payment is due upon completion, by cash, card, or bank transfer.

3. Access & Parking

  • The customer must provide safe and legal parking at both addresses.

  • Delays due to stairs, long carries, or limited access are charged as working time.

  • Parking permits or fees are the customerโ€™s responsibility.

4. Heavy or Fragile Items

  • Please advise us of heavy or fragile items before the move.

  • Additional charges may apply for large or delicate items (e.g. pianos, marble tables).

  • We reserve the right to refuse unsafe or excessively heavy items.

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the booking time may incur a $100 cancellation fee.

  • Rescheduling is free if done at least 24 hours in advance.

  • German Removals may reschedule in case of severe weather or unforeseen events.

6. Liability & Damage

  • We take great care with all belongings. However, our liability is limited to direct damage caused by negligence.

  • We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or items packed by the customer.

  • Liability per item is limited to $100, unless otherwise agreed.

7. Insurance

  • Our service includes basic public liability and transit coverage.

  • Customers are encouraged to arrange their own full insurance for complete protection.

8. Customer Responsibilities

  • Ensure items are packed and ready before our team arrives.

  • Inform us of any stairs, access issues, or fragile items in advance.

  • The customer (or representative) must be present during the move.

  • Full payment must be made immediately after completion.

9. Governing Law

All services are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
